Welcome to Fifth Grade!  As you explore my blog and website, please tell me a little bit about yourself!    I will begin so you can get to know me!  This is my fifth year teaching fifth grade.  I love kids, and I love to read.  Some of my favorite books are:  Wonder by R.J. Palacio, The Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas, Fablehaven by Branden Mull and Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick just to name a few!  I have the Newberry Award winning book The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate on my summer reading list.  Reading is one of my very favorite hobbies.  I have a wonderful family that I love to spend time with.  Brian is 15 and a sophmore in high school.  He loves to go to camp and to play waterpolo. He is also a boyscout.   Megan will be a freshman, and is 14.  She just made the showchoir at Naperville North!  She is learning how to play the guitar and loves to read.  Danny is a sixth grader, just one year older than you all.  He loves to play football, basketball and waterpolo.  Danny loves to hang out with his friends and watch YouTube videos about Minecraft!  I have to remind him to get his reading time in!  Mr. Lapham and I love to go on vacations together and watch the Blackhawks play hockey!  Please reply back and tell me all about yourself.  Check the blog site often to learn about your other classmates and reply to them!
